Second Edition

In addition to extensive bonus material, the second edition (April 2023) answers a multitude of questions posed by real estate agents since the book was first released two years ago. The art of the introductory phone call is explored in depth. Detailed guidance is offered on how to follow up with leads afterward. Suggestions are given on how to make the most of your web company’s automation model using existing system alerts and cues to trigger follow-up calls.

You’re Licensed, Now What?

When I started in real estate, no playbook existed to support new real estate salespeople in their first year.

You may have access to an onboarding program within your brokerage. Some brokerages may even have a detailed training program to support a new agent’s business. And for those highly motivated and organized individuals, a few real estate books exist that offer topic-specific guidance for things like marketing, social media, or Google Ads.

What did not seem to exist - and if it was out there, I would have found it - was a playbook; a roadmap that agents could follow. Something that would tell you what to do to become successful.

This book aims to answer the question: You’re Licensed, Now What?

It should serve as a how-to guide, providing a list of steps that can be followed in your first year of business. At the same time, the guidance is flexible enough to allow you, the new real estate salesperson, to follow your own inspiration.

I hope this book empowers you to find your real estate success in a way that inspires you every day. Here’s to Always Knowing What to Do Next!
